WORLD EMOJI DAY 🥳

Last Saturday, July 17th, was World Emoji Day! To celebrate, we’re bringing you an emoji themed-edition — because sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words.


👍 If you’re going to use emojis in your UX writing, this article has excellent advice on how to do so. Covering skin tone, location, accessibility, and other considerations, this concise guide will get you going.

✂️🥧👙Google is redesigning nearly 1000 emojis to make them more “universal, accessible, and authentic.” The list includes sharper scissors, universal pie, and a bikini without, and I quote, “an invisible ghost wearing it.”

🆕 Sometime in early 2022, we’ll be getting new emojis, taking us one step closer to a modern-day Ancient Egyptian–style hieroglyphic system. Here are some of the candidates. (Yay for the hamsa!)
