-Who should be the leaders or guardians? What type of character should they model? What should the guardians “profession” be and why?
-How are the weak supposed to be treated?
-How are marriages supposed to be arraigned?
-What is the general purpose of the citizens?
-What about wealth? What is considered true wealth?
2. On our library’s database find an article about Plato’s utopia and summarize it.
3. Write a conclusion in the form of clear simple propositions and your reasons to hold such opinion.
4. This writing assignment must be at least 1200 words in length and it must be written using the Chicago Writing Style
5. Follow this structure:
i. Brief introduction to Plato (half a page)
ii. Summary of the Republic
iii. Summary of the article of your choice
iv. Your conclusion in the form of clear simple propositions and your reasons to hold such opinion.
