You work for a human service organization that provides assistance for pregnant teenagers. One of your coworkers seems especially invested in one of the agency’s clients. She spends an unusual amount of time with this client. She talks about the client constantly. She tells you that the client reminds her of what she was like at that same age.

Given this information:

  • What ethical obligations, if any, do you have to your coworker and the client in question?
  • What will you say and do to address this issue? Be specific. Give examples.

Part 2 just a paragraph or 2

Consider the following scenario:

You are a worker for a human service agency that reviews and approves or denies eligibility benefits for individuals and families needing assistance. You are relatively new to your position. You find yourself making careless mistakes when completing the required forms. Your work is often returned to you for correction, but your supervisor never actually speaks with you. You feel isolated and don’t want to bother your coworkers who are also busy managing paperwork.

Address the following in your post:

  • What can you do to help reduce the frequency of errors in your paperwork?
  • What specific steps should be taken?
  • What is the supervisor’s role in this scenario and how should he/she respond to the issue? Be specific. Give examples.
